Research activities 1977-2006
The initial focus was on the modeling of rectification in packed columns using the Stefan-Maxwell equation to describe mass transfer and the verification of the theoretical results on a packed column as well as experimental studies on fluid dynamics in pulsed liquid-liquid extraction columns and the development of design methods for such columns.
A new focus was the development of high-performance reactors for the purification of industrial wastewater and their modeling.
2006 Prof. Dr.-Ing. Strube becomes the new Institute Director following the retirement of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Vogelpohl.
